మన ఆనకట్ట

Kothavalasa Anicut was constructed across Suvarnamukhi river which is tributary to Nagavali river. The project is located near Kothavalasa and Venkata bhairipuram villages, Seethanagaram Mandal, Vizianagaram District to irrigate a total ayacut of 3753 acres in Vizianagaram District. The project was constructed during 1955-1960.






  • The project utilizes 0.638 TMC of the available water.
  • The cost of the Project is Rs. 2.36 Lakhs.
A total amount of Rs. _ Crores has been spent towards rehabilitation and the Ayacut of 3753 Acres has been stabilised in Seethanagaram Mandal of Vizianagaram District.

An amount of Rs. 0.50 Lakhs is provided for the year 2003 -04 to towards maintenance (Non-Plan) and an amount of Rs. 1.00 Lakhs towards Minimum Rehabilitation (vide G.O. Ms. No. 83 Dt. 12-6-2003).
